The Discalced Carmelite Nuns are, by calling, part of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel. They belong to the a family of consecrated in a special way to loving and venerating the Holy Mother of God and they seek to attain evangelical perfection in union with her. (Constitution Chapter 3)
